Cleanfix, the world-class leader in cleaning innovation, is enjoying a successful partnership with a revived iconic yacht race. Cleanfix has sponsored Cote to compete in the world championships of the Quarter Ton Class. Owned by Darren Marston and Ollie Ophaus, Cote races in the high-profile Quarter Ton Cup, which in its 1970s heyday dominated international yacht racing.
The Quarter Ton Cup is hosted in mid-July by the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club at its historic Cowes clubhouse. The regatta, open to Quarter Ton yachts of all generations, takes place in the central Solent with nine races over three days. Entrants represent the UK, France, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands and even New Zealand, where the class is also experiencing a strong revival.
Cote was just pipped to the post in the 2011 Quarter Ton Cup World Championships, finishing in second place after a comprehensive victory in the 2010 event. In recent years, race entry and standards of competition have increased significantly, with a number of talented and professional sailors getting involved.
The Cote crew is delighted to welcome Cleanfix on board.
